Am I the Right Supervisor for You?
I will work with you to develop your own authentic way of working, developing your own strengths and preferences in your client work, to help you take ownership of your practice and better serve your clients. I work in an integrative way, with a person centred and relational core, believing that the relationship between us is an essential component of supervision, and where most of the work is done. I work with a range of clients, including teens and young people. I am also experienced in working remotely and am qualified to supervise this aspect of your client work. I have a particular interest in working with neurodiverse clients with autism, ADHD, or dyspraxia, either with a self- diagnosis or officially diagnosed. I can supervise your work with this client group, which, although has commonalities with counselling neurotypical clients, can present specific differences which will affect how you work. I am happy to support your practice, whether you are in the early stages of your career or are a more experienced therapist, and I supervise with reference to the BACP Ethical Framework and the National Counselling Society Code of Practice. With a background in training and teaching, as well as a first degree in Psychology, I am well placed to support your theoretical knowledge development as well as your client work and will offer encouragement and praise as well as appropriate challenge. I hold an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision (including Online and Telephone Working). I am happy to work with you on an on-going basis, and I also offer additional ad-hoc supervision sessions as a supplement to your regular supervision to support your work with neurodiverse clients, cover absences in your regular supervision, or act in an interim capacity if you are needing to sort out changes in your regular supervision. Why not contact me for a free informal chat to see if I'm what you are looking for?
